3FX Adds 3 Animators & Project Manager

3FX is pleased to announce the addition of specialized medical animators to our team.  Kartik Mohan and Man Kim, formerly of Xoop, LLC of New York, bring to 3FX a wide range of medical 3D animation skills.



Kartik’s education includes a M.Sc. in Molecular Biology from the University of Mumbai, Department of Life Sciences; and Master of Fine Art from the School of Visual Art, New York.  His medical animation expertise, drawing from a knowledge base in biology, has been realized within numerous awards, publications and professional visual achievements/productions within the industry.  Kartik has also taught & tutored students in life science animation, as well as been a guest lecturer at Universities.  Based on a record of exceptional and outstanding achievement in the field of medical animation, he was awarded permanent resident status in the United States in 2008. 

Man, originally from, and educated in Seoul, S. Korea, received his Master of Fine Art (3D Animation) from the School of Visual Arts, New York.  Skilled in multiple 3D software packages Man has received several short medical animation awards and has had a number of life science University and Gallery exhibitions.  His MFA graduation exhibition was at the Wooster Gallery, SOHO, New York.

Sam Blalark is our newest animator, a recent graduate from the Art Institute of Philadelphia, Media Arts & Animation Bachelors Program.  Although Sam constantly experiments with various 3D applications, his specialty is medical device & delivery system animation.

Fran Capoferri has also joined 3FX as a Senior Project Manager – responsible for project management and client relations relative to animation projects.  Prior to 3FX, Fran served as a project and scheduling manager for a large medical device company, managing multiple scheduling coordinators, nationwide.  Fran has a demonstrated track record of cross-functional expertise in project management and analysis; combined with strong strategic planning skills.
